Spianata & Burrata Bruschetta, known in Italy as Bruschetta con Spianata e Burrata, is a bold and indulgent Italian appetiser that pairs creamy cheese with spicy cured meat. Crisp toasted bread is topped with torn burrata, delicate slices of Spianata and finished with olive oil, fresh basil and cracked black pepper. Ingredients

  • Rustic Italian bread, sliced and toasted
  • 100g Burrata (or mozzarella)
  • 6–8 slices of Spianata (shop here)
  • Olive Oil (shop here)
  • Basil, salt & pepper

Directions

  1. Toast bread until golden.
  2. Tear burrata and spoon onto each slice.
  3. Top with Spianata, a drizzle of olive oil, and a few basil leaves.
  4. Finish with salt and black pepper.
