Ingredients
- 300gr Polenta
- 1.5 litres Water
- 300gr Italian Napoli Sausage (shop here)
- 180 g Taleggio or Grana Padano (shop here), sliced or grated
- 2 tbsp Virgin Olive Oil (shop here)
- Salt to taste
Directions
- Bring the water to the boil, season with salt and cook the polenta according to the packet instructions, stirring regularly.
- Remove the casing from the Napoli sausage, crumble it into a pan and cook over medium heat until browned.
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Spread half of the polenta into a lightly greased baking dish.
- Add the cooked sausage and half of the cheese.
- Cover with the remaining polenta and top with the remaining cheese.
- Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden.
- Serve hot.
